Shaping future with ZEISS Reverse Enginering and ATOS Q

Sustainability is an important factor in manufacturing and highly requested by customers of Precupa. How the company can meet the demands by using 3D metrology, you get to know here.

Mold making with precision – that’s how it’s done at the Bavarian company. Over 40 years of technical know-how enables Precupa to produce high-precision injection molds for plastic parts. The daily production list includes thermosetting and thermoplastic materials as well as liquid silicone rubber (LSR).

Thomas März, CEO at Precupa

The solution: Optical measurement technology

The powerful duo of the ATOS Q sensor and our software solutions GOM Inspect and ZEISS Reverse Engineering (ZRE) allows sustainable work with obsolete components. The workflow is simple: From scanning to CAD.
The detailed scanner captures the most important features. The ZRE software then enables data traceability. Individual components of the parts can thus be efficiently reconstructed without having to remake the entire part.

What’s next:

Future-oriented work is increasingly in demand. Customers of the plastics manufacturer asking for 100% biological materials without platistics or the sustainable use of older parts.

The use of 3D measuring technologies supports Precupa’s commitment to continuous progress.
